Mary graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2015 and joined Severn Vets in 2017, her main interest is internal medicine and she has completed the BSAVA medicine certificate. She enjoys using our array of diagnostic tests to work up both internal and external referral cases. Mary spends her free time running around after her toddler and crazy cocker spaniel!
Alison graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2018 and has worked in companion animal practice since. She joined Severn vets in 2019 and is mainly based at our Worcester branches. She enjoys all aspects of small animal practice but particularly enjoys medical work ups, emergency and critical care and dentistry.
Jock qualified from Liverpool University in 1988 and subsequently gained the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics. He returned to the University and undertook a residency and then lectureship in Small Animal Orthopaedics. He then worked in private referral practice until 1999 when he established Severn Veterinary Centre with his wife Caroline. Jock is a RCVS Advanced Practitioner and takes both internal and external orthopaedic referral cases.
Heidi qualified in 1998 from Liverpool University and following 13 years of mixed practice moved to Severn vets to concentrate on small animals in 2011. Her main interest is in soft tissue surgery. She gained her post graduate certificate and RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in 2017. Heidi takes both internal and external referrals for surgery, including keyhole and endoscopic procedures.
James graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2016. After starting his career in small animal practice locally he joined the Severn Vets team in 2018. He is working towards a certificate in small animal diagnostic imaging to become an RCVS acknowledged advanced veterinary practitioner in 2021. James has a particular interest in abdominal ultrasonography and CT and enjoys taking imaging referrals from our surrounding practices.
Mark graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2011. He joined Severn Vets in 2017 after working in the West Midlands and Cornwall prior to this. Mark completed a certificate in advanced veterinary practice in 2020 and earned a designated certificate in veterinary cardiology in 2021. Mark enjoys seeing and working up heart cases, both internal and external referrals.
Charlie recently graduated from Bristol university and is mainly based at our Worcester branches. She is enjoying learning all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in surgery.
Helen qualified from Edinburgh University in 2006 and has worked in small animal practice in the West Midlands ever since, with short breaks to travel and work for international rescue charities and to have her two children. She completed a post graduate certificate in small animal medicine in 2018. Helen relocated to Worcestershire with her family 4 years ago and recently joined the team at Severn vets in 2021. Helen enjoys meeting pets and their owners and particularly enjoys primary vaccination consultations and annual health checks where she can help the pet get off to the best start and help with any problems along the way. Helen has a bias towards medicine and is trained in acupuncture .
Alex graduated from Bristol University in 2003 and has worked in a variety of areas of small animal practice since, including a rotating internship at a specialist veterinary referral centre, veterinary charities and private practice. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. Having owned Jack Russell Terriers ever since becoming a vet, she now has a very friendly rescue cat, called Stevie.
Elizabeth graduated in Poland in 2006 and has been working in UK practices for over 12 years. She has a keen interest and a certificate in small animal Opthalmology. She is a proud mother of one and has two ginger and white cats called ‘Nelson’ and ‘Gray’. In her free time Elizabeth enjoys cooking, gardening and Buddhism.
Originally from Romania , Alex qualified in Iasi in June 2016. She moved to Worcester and joined Severn vets in 2022. Outside of work she enjoys reading and painting and has a cat named Rasha.
Amy graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2021 and worked at a small animal practice in South Devon. Originally from Alcester, she joined Severn vets to be nearer to home and focus on small animal practice. Amy has interests in general surgery, imaging and behaviour. Outside of work she enjoys walking with her German Pointer ‘Moose’ and wild swimming.
Originally from Ireland, Cian qualified in 2017 and joined Severn vets in 2022. Amongst all aspects of general practice, Cian also has a keen interest in Orthopaedics. Outside of work he loves to go to the gym, rambling and running. He has a ginger cat called ‘Nacho’.
Originally from Portugal, Sofia qualified in Lisbon in October 2022. She moved to Worcester and joined Severn vets in 2023. Outside of work she loves dancing to Jazz, going to the gym and long walks in the countryside with her cockerpoo ‘Piper’.
