Alcester Dog Walk 2017

Thank you to everyone who came along to our annual dog walk - as always there was a fantastic turn out and a great time was had by all!

We are pleased to announce that we raised a wonderful £336 in aid of the Cinnamon Trust.

Cats@SevernVets

We are very excited about our new venture, a cat friendly practice at the former site of Worcester City Vets.

Cats@severnvets will be opening on 1st August 2016.

Cat friendly people in a cat friendly building makes for a low stress visit for your cat.

We have a quiet, spacious reception area and consultation rooms, and backstage there are only cats. The cats are given cosy beds, a variety of suitable cat litters and foods, cat friendly toys and we use feliway to make them feel secure.

Our veterinary equipment is designed for cats as well - from weighing scales to anaesthetic and surgical equipment, and equipment for making the diagnosis of problems as easily as possible for you and your cat.

We offer clinics for cats with all veterinary problems - skin problems, internal diseases such as diabetes, hyperthyroidism and kidney disease and treatment of cancer. We offer cat dentistry including taking x rays as a routine. We have soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeons for all our surgical cases.

Cats do not like to share with dogs (even if they quite happily live with dogs at home!). Cats@severnvets offers an environment without barking, without being sniffed by dogs and, especially for cats with a sensitive sense of smell - no doggy smells!

Laparoscopic Bitch Spay - New Keyhole Surgery Service

We are proud to be able to offer minimally invasive bitch spays, a 'keyhole' technique that has advantages over traditional spaying technique's.

Main Benefits

- Safer and less invasive

- Reduces surgical trauma

- Results in reduced levels of pain and discomfort after surgery, which leads to faster recovery. Rest is typically required for two or three days rather than over a week with traditional techniques.

Laparoscopic spay's are carried out through three very small incisions, rather than the traditional large incision. A camera and specialist instruments are used.

If you would like more information or would like to book your bitch for laparoscopic spaying please call 01905 756156.
