Acupuncture Referral Service

The acupuncture referral service is run by Sarah Tait BVSc MRCVS and Caroline Queen BSc BVSc MRCVS. Acupuncture cases are seen at both our Tybridge and Berkeley House practice’s. Both Caroline and Sarah have been awarded certificates in Veterinary Acupuncture.

Acupuncture can be used to help with painful conditions, as an addition to prescribed drugs or in cases when drugs are not effective. Acupuncture works by stimulating pain receptors to tell the brain that something no longer hurts. The acupuncture service is part of our rehabilitation service, and helps us provide a complete Orthopaedic surgical and rehabilitation service. It can be very effective and produce- quick results in animals suffering from acute and chronic pain.
